Ice in lava tubes on the moon could provide water for future lunar missi...
i call BS according to Planetary scientist Rene Weber and team claim that the deepest parts of the lunar mantle, next to its small metallic core, are partially molten. In Earth, such bodies of magma tend to rise up towards the surface, leading to volcanic eruptions. Until now, it has not been clear, why the Moon's magma, *doesn't do the same*, yet it does have them, and if there were ice in the lava tubes, no matter how deep the heat, it would eventually melt the ice, releasing steam into the moons gravity, which would be seen periodically, pluming out into space, and eventually settling back down, on the surface creating low lakes or pockets of water IE ponds, and according to a team of Dutch earth scientists -- lead by Mirjam van Kan Parker and Wim van Westrenen from VU University Amsterdam -- they have now identified the likely reason, for the lack of volcanic activity: the hot, molten rock contained within the Moon's interior and, (notice the stress on the word), *could*, be so dense that it is too heavy to rise, to the surface, while this is true, when you put a pan of water on the stove, the electrical element providing the heat is heavy, yet the heat is still transferred through the medium, and gravity being relatively governed, by the same rules all over, natural heat will rise up away from the center of gravity, so boom theres a big hole poked right in it, and we dont need to find it, (water), in liquid form, its in the rocks, they can extract the water, like they planned for the mars express fuel extraction first stage, moisture can be extracted from most compounds, usually by heating them, and gases are released then they extract the o2 from the gasses and it even can recycle the other elements into fuel, its how they came up, with a cheaper alternative, but nasa and the shadow government pissed all over the plan, as they knew, it would destroy their monopoly on power production, on earth
