The Mind-Brain Interface with Marjorie Woollacott

Marjorie Woollacott, PhD, is emeritus professor of Neuroscience and Human Physiology at the University of Oregon. She is coauthor of the textbook, Motor Control: Translating Research Into Clinical Practice. She is author of Infinite Awareness: The Awakening of a Scientific Mind.

Here she describes a range of theoretical developments in the field of neuroscience relating to how the mind influences the brain. She cites the theories of Nobel laureates Roger Sperry and Sir John Eccles. She also describes in some detail how quantum mechanical fluctuations could influence consciousness. She notes that this research and theoretical work is consistent with the view of consciousness developed within Kashmir Shaivism.

New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD,  hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is a past vice-president of the Association for Humanistic Psychology; and is the recipient of the Pathfinder Award from that Association for his contributions to the field of human consciousness exploration.

interestingly enough it actually supports my theory that we are not there as the mind effects the brain, ergo our consciousness isn't located within the body but sent to it and the brain / body is just a receptacle for these transmitted energies
