Hi EBNM you know if it were a artificially created and locally rendered environment to each observer, as i suspect, it would explain this phenomenon or any discrepancies between observations, but i noticed that someone made a comment about reversing the viewpoint, while this is an excellent way to check data  it can only rule out things that you are looking for, for example, it could very well show the reverse effect, or not, just depending on who's looking and fyi you can have flat pieces of land on hills, like Inca terracing just because it may be initially flat on the immediate local scale doesn't mean it cannot still be on a hill on a larger scale, I've often found reality to be quite subjective and biased, but if it were an artificially created environment, it would have to be rendered to each persons expected perspective of their reality in a sensory feedback loop, so you wouldn't really know, all you would see is what you expect to see, its hard to prove that somethings there despite the lack of evidence, but its not impossible, you can't see WiFi but its there, and there's no way to prove it exists until you can learn how to use it., but there are ways to test the theory and yes planes can be smaller locally because they use them to deploy aerosol's into the air, they're basically scale model replicas on RC  you can tell they look ridiculously small as compared to others, its pretty easy to spot them, just next to heathrow airport they fly at no more than 150 feet above the main road, small planes don't mean south is up, it just means the government is using them to deploy aerosol injected chemicals because they blend in with the other air traffic when off the ground. nothing more, but keep on trying i'm sure you'll get something concrete eventually :) #peace
