We often hear that cops are here to protect, that they are just working people like the rest of us and when people complain, condemn, defy or react against police injustice and brutality, then they say that, no matter what, the policemen are the ones keeping the peace, the ones that we turn to when something bad happens to us. But the question is would you ask for help from the thug that just violently pushed a homeless guy's head against a metal bar and kicked his few belongings to the street while another cos just looks at her colleague's attack apathetic and dispassionate? And if -according to the cliché narrative- “not all cops are bad”, then why do the “good cops” tolerate and cover up the crimes of their colleagues? And how come their beatings and the infliction of injuries with their batons and their feasts is considered lawful if you are a policeman and you are getting paid to act as a criminal against other people, like the cops in the video above?
