Ruptly is live as an anti-lockdown protest takes place in front of Berlin’s Bundestag on Saturday, May 16.
The rally was called for by celebrity vegan chef and conspiracy theorist Attila Hildmann, who was detained during last weekend’s protest for ignoring social distancing rules.
Similar protests have been taking place nationwide over the last weeks, with some of them resulting in scuffles between protesters and police, and numerous arrests.
Over the past few weeks, Germany has been gradually lifting its coronavirus-related restrictions with the reopening of stores, museums, some schools and other non-essential business.
