The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Moderna as the second coronavirus vaccine for emergency use, on Friday. The vaccine is believed to be 94 percent effective. Vaccinations in the US kicked off last week with the arrival of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.
