People gathered to watch Kilauea volcano's eruption on Hawaii's Big Island on Monday, fascinated by a big cloud of smoke soaring into the night sky. Although Hawaii Volcanoes National Park authorities reportedly warned about the dangerous gases emitted by the volcano, people stayed, singing songs as they watched the volcano plumes billowing. Kilauea volcano began erupting on Hawaii's Big Island on Sunday forcing authorities to issue a warning for residents to stay indoors. According to the US Geological Survey's Hawaiian Volcano Observatory, the eruption occurred alongside a 4.4 magnitude earthquake on the south flank of the volcano.
