just doing a spot of random calculations, and from Denver to Peking is 6343 in a straight line, yet the flight path shows this 6571 miles for the entire journey, which is only 228 miles difference, are we meant to believe that, when its either traveling much further or the distances we are told are wrong,
they say its because the planet is an oblique spheroid, yet the equatorial circumference of Earth is about 24,900 miles (40,070 km). However, from pole-to-pole — the meridional circumference — Earth is only 24,812 miles (39,931 km) a maximum difference of 778 miles, yet according to most airline pilots when asked Why do flights from the USA to Asia travel far north (above Alaska/Siberia) rather than the seemingly more direct "straight line" across the Pacific? their clearly blatant lie Answer is: It is shorter to fly the Great Circle route than a straight line due to the circumference of the earth being so much greater at the equator than near the poles, which is just wrong, there is only 778 miles difference, yet the flight path shows its basically flying twice the direct distance, around 12,000 miles as its 6,343 mi Distance from Denver to Beijing,
6,343 mi
Distance from Denver to Beijing
so i call BS even with the The greater the difference in air temperature, and the faster the jet stream flows, which can reach speeds of up to 250 mph (402 kph) or greater, but average about 110 mph (177 kph), it is still not enough to make up the alleged distance travelled, beside the fact that the plane cannot hold enough fuel for that journey, and even if they are running on compressed air compleatly, theres still the discrepancy of distance travelled Vs what they say it is, it is my suspicion that we are being mislead as to the positions of the landmasses, and no I'm not saying the Earth is Flat, if anything it's just not real, but thats a whole other story for another time lol ;)
