Magnetic Spin
im no expert (lol) but it appears to be orbiting like a planet following the lines of force like a mini Birkeland current, and given the the magnet on top creates a vortex, i would say its the ball bearing is following the path of least resistance because its established via the lines of force of the extra magnet on top, you could always place a second coil and ball-bearing on top of that one and see if it effects the top one due to the opposing anti vortex rotation, no power should be supplied to the top one there should be enough energy to move the top ball already, plus you can keep on stacking them up and make a generator of sorts because of the sympathetic magnetic vortexes :) #peace
