It was a series of breakthrough missions for the United States and a life-changing one for the rest of humanity when Apollo 11 first brought man to the moon. Although NASA had planned more Apollo missions, the last one was Apollo 17. After that, with the waning public interest and a shrinking budget, NASA scrapped the missions saying the once-prestigious moon program had fallen out of favor from the higher-ups in Washington. For many, this is a fact. But there are those who believe NASA continued on with the missions. They simply didn’t tell the public. #2 Aztec UFO Crash Dismissed by many as a UFO Hoax, the Aztec UFO Crash never received the same notoriety as that of the Roswell crash. But is there truth to the claim that this UFO sighting and crash did happen? The story goes that on March 25, 1948 (eight months after the Roswell incident) a silvery flying disc was seen doing a controlled crash landing close to Aztec, New Mexico. It was about 3 to 4 am in the morning and two policemen saw a glowing disc fly over their car, heading northwest.
