My report on the Marmes Rockshelter on the Palouse River in Washington. Just over 50 years ago archaeologists were scrambling to excavate a cave before waters rose from dam construction. They also tried to save the site by building a cofferdam....which ended not well, soon as the waters rose in 1970. Historical look, old pics, Crater Lake, and some Google Earth. https://spokanehistorical.org/items/s... https://www.seattletimes.com/pacific-...
