Russia: Heavy rain turns Black Sea resort's roads into rivers

Heavy downpours turned Black Sea resort Gelendzhik's streets into rivers on Wednesday. Some daredevils made the most of the situation, sliding down the central Lenin Street as if in a waterpark. Several roads were closed due to the heavy rainfall in the Krasnodar region, including in the cities of Krasnodar, Gelendzhik and Goryachiy Kluch. Earlier the day the local EMERCOM department issued a warning due to a rapid rise in water levels in the region.
