Drone footage from Sunday shows destroyed buildings in the second-largest Azerbaijani city of Ganja, the day after the start of a ceasefire between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Azeri President Ilham Aliev said Yerevan "blatantly violated the ceasefire regime and launched a missile attack on innocent residents in the city of Ganja," in a televised address. The Armenian Defense Ministry spokesperson Shushan Stepanyan denied the accusations.
Armenia and Azerbaijan agreed to a Russian-brokered ceasefire from midday (local time; 08:00 GMT) on October 10.
Fighting between Armenia and Azerbaijan over the territory of the Nagorno-Karabakh disputed region broke out on September 27 when sides of the conflict exchanged fire. It's been the heaviest clashes in the region since the 1994 ceasefire, with both sides blaming each other for the escalation amid rising casualty figures.
