People were seen hiding at the bus station as the blizzard was hitting the city while some roads remained inaccessible. According to the website of the Norilsk mayor's office, since Saturday the road to the Norilsk-Kayerkan-Alykel which connects several districts of the city, including the airport has been closed for all transport, while the movement of light vehicles on the Norilsk - Talnakh highway has been prohibited as well. According to local reports, flights to Abakan were delayed for two days due to the snowstorm. The Territorial Department of Civil Defense and Emergency Situation informed citizens of the expected snowstorm with visibility of up to one or two kilometers and southerly winds of up to 14 metres per second. #Russia #Norilsk #snowstorm #traffic
