David Cochrane's Astrology
Consecutive harmonics, such as 11 and 12 for example, are interconnected and are interwoven with each other through resonances in their harmonic charts. The start of each zodiac in the 11th harmonic is also a point of pure and intense zodiac intensity of the next harmonic. I have been surprised at how important the 11th harmonic is. The instability and progressiveness of the 11th harmonic is often involved in mental and emotional disturbances. It feels like 11 is “reaching” to 12 for completion. The 13th harmonic is critically important for transcendence and transformation. It feels like 13 is reaching beyond the stability of 12 for something transformative. It is now clear WHY this is true. It is result of the way in which consecutive harmonics affect each other. Astrologer, innovator, and social activist Larry Ely posed this question:What point of a zodiac sign is the most intensely and purest point of the zodiac sign? He decided to approach the zodiac as a fractal and place a zodiac within a zodiac within a zodiac. Larry Ely figured out the formula for determining these maximum points of intensity. The formula is very simple:(z/11) * 360 where z = the zodiac sign 0 to 11.For example, the point of maximum intensity of Gemini = (2/11) * 360 = 65.4545 = about 5 e 27’ 16”, as mentioned on the previous slide. The formula (z/11) * 360 also means that these point of highest intensity are simply 11 equally spaced points around the wheel as shown on the next slide.
